The Importance Of Photos

We cannot over emphasize the importance that Photos play in the marketing of listings today. In the last year alone our photo's generated 4 offers that came in as a result of buyers viewing our online photo galleries. The buyers had not even physically been to the home but because the photos were so compelling felt that the home was right for them.

Here are some suggestions and a few examples:

  • Some things that show up on photo's that you might not have seen when you took the photo so look at them carefully.
  • Too many photos may create a situation where the buyer feels no need to see the rest of the Properties. there is no desire to see what else

  • If the photo are not compelling don't include them. Resist the desire to just have another photo for the buyer's to look at.
  • Not all photo's will create an interest for the buyer's. That is the only reason for using photos in the first place.

  • Distorted photos are of no use period. They don't represent the home well and the buyer's may feel that the room was so small that the only photo that could be used was taken with a fisheye lens as the example to the right.

  • Photos can be used as a staging tool. Take a photo and you will see what the buyer's will see when they go through your home. If the photo it is not compelling then work with your staging some more.
